Kia ora, my name is Tobin and I've been a member of Ngāti Rānana for a little over 3 years.

I grew up in the UK which made it somewhat difficult to connect with whānau back home and Māoritanga in general. Luckily, when I was 17 a cousin from New Zealand moved to London and joined Ngāti Rānana. She brought me and my brother (Josh) along a few times, and from then on I was always determined to join after finishing university.

Fast forward a few years and after completing my studies in Bristol, I moved to London and immediately joined club! Fast forward another couple years and I've been fortunate enough to perform at some awesome events, travel abroad and most importantly meet a whole new whānau here in London.

Being a (somewhat) experienced member now, I'm looking forward to giving back in my role as secretary and contributing to the success of Ngāti Rānana.
