Tena ra tatou katoa,

Ko Te Whanau-a-Taupara te Haapu
Ko Te Aitanga-a-Mahaki te Iwi
Ko Tamara Fleming ahau.
On my mothers side I'm from the rural communities of Te Karaka and Opotiki, born and raised on the beautiful East Coast in the city of Gisborne. My passion for Te Ao Māori was nurtured when I attended Te Whānau reo Māori o Te Kura o Manutuke.
Although I was content in my Māoritanga I yearned to connect with my fathers British heritage. Having only recently moved to the UK in August of 2022, I knew prior to my arrival that Ngati Ranana was a roopu (group) I wanted to be apart of.
One of my favorite things about Ngati Ranana is all of the awesome people I've had the privilege of meeting. As social coordinator I look forward to meeting all the new faces, and making everyone feel just as welcome as I did.
Naku iti nei,
He uri no Te Tairawhiti.
